Vuyokazi Ngemntu is a writer-performer based in Cape Town, who uses poetry, song, physical theatre, storytelling and ritual to navigate ancestral trauma, confront inequality and inspire healing.

David Mann is a writer and editor from Johannesburg, South Africa. He currently works as the writer for The Centre for the Less Good Idea, an interdisciplinary incubator space for the arts.

Amie Soudien is an art writer, researcher, and arts administrator with a specific interest in the intersections of art, gender and history. She is currently a PhD candidate at WITS, Johannesburg.

Anthea Buys is a curator, writer and researcher based between
Johannesburg and the Garden Route, South Africa. Anthea is interested in the intersection
of fiction, philosophy and contemporary art.

Nolan Oswald Dennis is a para-disciplinary artist from Johannesburg, South Africa. Their practice explores the material and metaphysical conditions of decolonization.

MADEYOULOOK is a Johannesburg based interdisciplinary artist collaborative between Molemo Moiloa and Nare Mokgotho. The works of MADEYOULOOK consider everyday black practices that have either been historically overlooked or deemed inconsequential.

Abri De Swardt is an artist from Johannesburg whose work concerns the interrelations between queerness, decoloniality and the more-than-human.

Bhavisha Panchia is a curator and researcher within the field of visual and audio culture. Her research interests are leveled at anti/decolonial practices, global South-North relations, production and circulation of (digital) media and tech-colonialism.

Mika Conradie has produced curatorial and editorial projects with and for LagosPhoto, Jakarta Biennale, Ujazdowski Contemporary Art Museum, GALA Queer Archive and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, amongst others. From 2016 - 2021 she co-directed POOL, a not-for-profit arts organisation. Her writing on art, design and visual practice is published by K.Verlag, Transnational Dialogues, Art South Africa and Gdańska Galeria Miejska.

Lumumba Mthembu is the in-house writer of the Durban-based NPO, Contemporary Archive Project, which chronicles – through documentary photography – the life of the city since the turn of the millennium. In this capacity, he has published reviews of photo series and exhibitions through the Mail & Guardian, ArtThrob and Bubblegum Club.

Sihle Sogaula is interested in film photography as a meditative practice, fashion as embodied and emancipatory ritual, and alternative research methodologies. In her work, she explores the ways in which material things can hold many truths at once; how objects are invocations of the present as much as they are of the past.

Dee Marco is a creative scholar based in Johannesburg. Dee’s research pivots around social and cultural practices and experiences of the everyday, particularly in relation to a life of person-making, caregiving and critical joy finding. More broadly, she is interested in visual culture, cinema and black women’s methods of narration and story telling.
